๐Ÿš€ Overview: The Products Section

Updated this week

In this article:

๐Ÿ”ฅ Quick Summary

The Products section is the central hub for your community business.

  • What it does: Allows you to create, organize, and manage all your educational assets (Courses, Challenges, Events, etc.) in one place.

  • The Goal: It is designed to help you build a Free-to-Paid funnel to attract and monetize members.

  • Important: While anyone can draft products, you need a Pro or Platinum plan to publish them.

๐Ÿ“ฆ What Can You Create?

You can create a wide variety of educational and interactive formats. As long as the content adheres to our Terms of Use (no offensive content or harassment), the sky is the limit!

Supported Product Types:

  • ๐Ÿ† Challenges: Engage members with time-bound and always-on goals and accountability.

  • ๐Ÿ“‚ Digital Files: Host eBooks, PDFs, templates, Notion guides, resources like live session/events recordings, and materials during live events.

  • ๐ŸŽ“ Courses: Build structured learning modules and lessons.

  • ๐Ÿ“… Events: Schedule workshops, webinars, or live streams.

  • ๐Ÿค 1:1 Sessions: Offer personal coaching or consultation slots.

  • ๐Ÿ“ Lead Forms: Capture interest and gather member data. Itโ€™s the easiest way to get a basic webpage live.

๐Ÿ’ก Strategy: The Free-to-Paid Funnel

The Products section isn't just for storage; it is designed to help you execute a Free-to-Paid funnel. By mixing free resources with paid upgrades, you can nurture relationships and increase revenue.

Here is the recommended workflow:

  1. ๐Ÿงฒ The Hook (Free): Create free resources (e.g., a PDF template, a short eBook, or a "Lead Form") to attract new members and provide immediate value.

  2. ๐ŸŒฑ The Nurture (Free/Low Ticket): Host free workshops (Events) to engage these members and build trust.

  3. ๐Ÿ“ˆ The Upsell (Paid): Once trust is established, offer high-value Masterclasses or full Courses to your loyal members.

  4. ๐Ÿ’Ž The Deep Dive (Premium): Conduct 1:1 Sessions for personalized support and deeper relationship building.

๐Ÿ“ In Summary

The Products section is the "Engine Room" of your business.

  • Central Hub: Manage everything from simple PDFs to complex Courses in one tab.

  • Variety: Choose from different product types to engage your members.

  • Strategy: Use free products to hook members, then upsell them to paid experiences.

  • Requirement: Remember to upgrade to a Paid Plan when you are ready to hit "Publish."

โ“ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. Q: Can I offer products for free?

A: Yes! You can set any product (Courses, Digital Files, Events, etc.) to be free. This is a great way to build trust and "hook" new members before offering paid content.

  2. Q: Why can't I publish the product I just created?

A: If the "Publish" button is greyed out or restricted, check your current plan. Users on the Trial plan can draft and view products but need to upgrade to Pro or Platinum to publish them live to the community.

  3. Q: What kind of files can I upload to "Digital Files"?

A: You can upload a variety of resources including PDFs, eBooks, templates, and spreadsheets. You can also link to external resources like Notion templates. Note that thereโ€™s a limited allowable storage per plan visit. You can check our pricing page to know more.

  4. Q: Can I edit a product after I have published it?

A: Absolutely. You can update course content, change event details, or swap out digital files at any time, ensuring your community always has the most up-to-date information. Depending on the product, there may be some limitations to what you can edit.

For example, in Challenges, you can only modify the event checkpoints and end-date but can no longer edit the start date when the challenge has already started.
