UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is a real-time payment system in India that allows members to pay using apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm.
Nas.io supports UPI for both one-time purchases and subscriptions, but only for creators who meet specific eligibility requirements.
⚠️ Who Can Enable UPI on Nas.io?
UPI is available only if all of the following are true:
• Country: India
• Base currency: INR (₹)
• You have an Indian bank account
• You have a valid PAN
This is required because:
• UPI payments are processed via Stripe India or Razorpay
• Indian taxes (GST and possible TDS) must be applied
• Nas.io must report these transactions locally
❌ If You Are Not Based in India
If you:
• Are based outside India
• Do not have an Indian bank account
• Do not have PAN
Then:
❌ You cannot offer UPI as a payment method
✅ You can still sell to Indian members using:
Credit cards
Debit cards
Important: Payment methods are determined by the creator’s business location and currency — not by the member’s country.
What Can Members Buy with UPI?
For eligible India-based creators, members can use UPI to purchase:
• Memberships
• Events
• Digital Products
• Other one-time products
Both one-time payments and subscriptions are supported.
How Can a Member Pay with UPI?
On the checkout page, members can:
Enter their UPI ID
Confirm the payment in their UPI app
Complete the purchase
Common UPI apps include:
• Google Pay
• PhonePe
• Paytm
Your member may find the guide to locate their UPI ID in their respective UPI apps.
The most common UPI apps are Google Pay/PhonePe/Paytm
Daily Transaction Limit
UPI has a daily transaction limit of ₹100,000 (1 lakh INR).
If a product price is above ₹100,000:
❌ UPI payment will not go through
✅ Members must use credit or debit cards instead

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: My audience is in India, but I’m based outside India. Can I offer UPI?
A: No. UPI is only available for creators who are set up as India-based businesses with INR currency, an Indian bank account, and a valid PAN. If you are based outside India, Indian members can still pay using credit or debit cards.
Q: If I change my base currency to INR, will UPI be enabled?
A: Not by itself. To enable UPI, your account must also be set up as an India-based business with an Indian bank account and PAN. Currency alone is not sufficient.
Q: Can members outside India use UPI?
A: No. UPI is an India-only payment method and can only be used by members with Indian UPI apps and bank accounts.
Q: Can UPI be used for subscriptions?
A: Yes. Members can use UPI to purchase subscriptions. However, auto-renewal is not supported. Members must manually approve each renewal payment.
Q: Is there a limit on UPI payments?
A: Yes. UPI has a daily transaction limit of ₹100,000 (1 lakh INR). Payments above this amount must be made using credit or debit cards.
Q: What currency will I be paid in if I use UPI?
A: All UPI payments are processed and paid out in INR.
Q: Why does Nas.io require an Indian bank account and PAN for UPI?
A: This is required to comply with Indian tax and reporting regulations, including GST and possible withholding tax (TDS), for UPI transactions processed through Indian payment providers.
