Updated over a week ago

In this page:

🔥 Quick Summary

Nas.io lets you connect 4 types of tracking pixels to your community:

  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel

  • Google Analytics Measurement ID

  • TikTok Pixel

  • X (Twitter) Pixel

These pixels help you understand what people do in your community — such as viewing pages, signing up, and making purchases — so you can measure results and improve your marketing.

📅 Events We Track

💡Why Use Tracking Pixels?

  • Understand your audience – See how people move through your pages

  • Improve your ads – Know which campaigns lead to sign-ups or sales

  • Make better decisions – Use real data instead of guessing

  • Run retargeting ads – Reach people who already showed interest

🛠️ How Pixel Tracking Works

Nas.io supports two ways to track events:

  1. Recommended: Server-Side Tracking - Nas.io sends data directly from our server to your connected ad platform (Meta, Google, or TikTok) for you.

This works better because it is not affected by ad blockers or browser privacy settings.

    You will need:

    1. Pixel ID – tells us where to send the data

    2. Access Token – a secure key that allows Nas.io to send the data

  2. ⚠️ Browser Tracking - You only need a Pixel ID. Data is collected directly from the user’s browser using cookies and scripts and sent to your connected ad platform

However, some events may not be tracked because of:

    1. Ad blockers

    2. Browser privacy settings

    3. Connection issues

ℹ️ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. Q: What is a tracking pixel?
A: A tracking pixel helps you understand what people do in your community, such as viewing pages, signing up, or making a purchase.

It sends this information to platforms like Meta, Google, or TikTok so you can measure results and improve your marketing.

  2. Q: Which platforms can I connect to Nas.io?
    A: You can connect:

    1. Meta (Facebook) Pixel

    2. Google Analytics (GA4)

    3. TikTok Pixel

    4. X (Twitter) Pixel

  3. Q: Do I need both Pixel ID and Access Token?

    A: Not always.

  • Pixel ID only = browser tracking

  • Pixel ID + Access Token = server-side tracking (recommended)

🌀 NOTE: Using an Access Token improves tracking accuracy and avoids issues caused by ad blockers and browser privacy settings.

4. Q: What happens if I only use Pixel ID?
A: Your tracking will rely on the user’s browser. Some events may not be tracked if users:

  • Use ad blockers

  • Block cookies

  • Have strict privacy settings

5. Q: Why is server-side tracking recommended?
A: Server-side tracking sends data directly from Nas.io to your tracking platform.

This makes tracking:

  • More reliable

  • Less affected by ad blockers

  • More accurate for conversions

6. Q: Is the Access Token safe?

A: Yes. The Access Token only allows Nas.io to send tracking events to your account.

It does not give Nas.io access to your ad account or personal data.

7. Q: Can I use more than one pixel at the same time?

A: Yes. You can add pixels for different platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, and X) at the same time.

8. Q: What events are tracked automatically?
A: Nas.io automatically tracks:

  • Page views

  • Email sign-ups

  • Checkout clicks

  • Purchases

  • Community subscriptions

No extra setup is needed after adding your Pixel ID and Access Token.

9. Q: Why don’t I see data immediately?
A: It may take some time for your tracking platform to show the data.

Also, data may not appear if:

  • You used the wrong Pixel ID

  • The Access Token is missing or incorrect

  • Ad blockers are enabled

  • Browser privacy settings are blocking tracking

10. Q: Can I remove or change my pixel later?
A: Yes. You can update or remove your Pixel ID and Access Token anytime from: Settings → Pixels in your community dashboard.

11. Q: Does X (Twitter) support Access Tokens?
A: No. X only supports browser tracking.

You only need to add the Pixel ID for X.

12. Q: Who should use tracking pixels?

A: Tracking pixels are useful if you:

  • Run ads

  • Want to track sign-ups or purchases

  • Want to retarget visitors

  • Want to understand user behavior

If you don’t run ads or campaigns, you don’t need to set up pixels.
