The payment gateway fees include taxes imposed on each transaction. Said fees are decided by Payment Gateway Providers and taxes are in compliance with the rules of the government of India.

In compliance with the policy of the government of India, all transactions made by users in the country will be subjected to GST, Withholding tax as well as relevant payment processing fees of our local payments provider.

These are fees that are imposed by Stripe India on the checkout value* for all transactions processed via Stripe India as shown below:

We have partnered with RazorPay so we can offer various local payment methods that are available in India. Currently, this is only available for one-time payments and not with community subscriptions.

These are fees that are imposed by RazorPay on the checkout value* for all one-time payment transactions processed via RazorPay as shown below:

Since we do not charge for usage of our different functionalities like platform hosting, email messaging, event hosting, content storage, WhatsApp integration up to our free thresholds found in nas.io/pricing.

However, we take a small commission of 8% for every transaction you make on the platform. That way, we only make money when you make money.

1. Goods and Services Tax (GST)

Indirect tax imposed on products, services including digital transactions like memberships, digital products, event tickets and more. As of Jun 1, 2023, the imposed GST is 18%. Refer to this website for more information on GST.

Nas.io will remit the GST portions for Stripe payment processing fee and commission.

The community manager is responsible for remitting the remainder of the GST chargeable to their net revenue by herself/himself. Therefore, the community manager is advised to adjust his/her product original price to include the 18% GST (if applicable).

2. Withholding Tax

Community managers are required to pay a 1% Withholding tax by the India Tax Authorities if their communities total checkout value. This tax amount will be applied directly to the gross revenue (before payment gateway fee and Nas.io processing fee) and will reflected in your payout.

Nas.io India Entity will be responsible for collecting this amount and paying it to the government of India each month.
