Ruby AI is a powerful feature that sends you a clean summary of your WhatsApp group chat conversation in your inbox, daily. The summary is also stored for you, the community manager, on the Nas.io portal - so that you can share it with your members using Magic reach.
Best of all, RubyAI is completely FREE to use.
Steps to enable Ruby AI:
Create your community on Nas.io
Go to https://nas.io to create your community, start for Free
Skip this step if you already have a community on nas.io
Complete your onboarding
Connect your WhatsApp by adding the group link
Go to Settings > Chat
Connect your WhatsApp group by pasting the group link.
Note that Ruby only works for WhatsApp groups.
Ensure that the WhatsApp group is already created and you have the group link copied. Go here to understand how to get WhatsApp group link.
Settings > Chat > After inserting the link, you will get to this intermediate state.
Note that Ruby AI is still not available. Continue to the following steps to complete connection.
Unlock Ruby AI and more insights by adding a Nas.io phone number in your group chat
Click on Unlock button
Save the assigned phone number as a phone contact
Scan the QR to do it quickly.
Once Nas.io number is saved in your phone contact, click Continue
On this final step, Add Nas.io number to the same WhatsApp group you linked above and click continue
Connect Successfully
You should be able to see this state when connected successfully
6. Receiving your daily Ruby AI summary
a. You can find your summary on the homepage. Click on View
b. You can find reports of previous dates by clicking on the desired date that you want to view the report. The dates marked with a yellow tick are ones that you can view the summary. Otherwise, there are not enough messages to generate a summary on that day.
❗Please note that there should be a minimum of 120 words to ensure that the Ruby AI can generate daily summary of your chat.

General Troubleshooting steps in case you're unable to connect successfully
Ensure that the Nas.io phone number you have saved is the exact phone number showing assigned to your community.
Ensure that the bot is in the chat group and is the admin of the group. (Not the admin of the WhatsApp community)
If it still shows an error in connection, please try to re-connect the WhatsApp in 24 hours. Sometimes while working with third-party providers such as WhatsApp, it can face temporary downtime.

How to turn off Ruby AI Summary
How to turn off Ruby AI Summary
Currently, there is no option to turn off Ruby AI summary for communities who integrated WhatsApp into their Nas.io communities and added the Nas bot as an admin to their WhatsApp group.
If you need to remove or disable Ruby AI from your community, you can remove the Nas bot from the WhatsApp group so that it will stop summarizing the conversation in the group.
Once Nas bot has been removed, Ruby AI will no longer generate or send chat summaries to your inbox. However, please note that this will also prevent the Nas bot from kicking members who are no longer in the community as it will only work if Nas bot number is added in the group as admin.

The chat summaries generated by Ruby AI are stored securely within your Nas.io portal, accessible only by the community manager. These summaries are not shared with others unless you choose to do so via Magic Reach or other channels. We take privacy seriously and ensure all data is handled in compliance with our privacy policies.
