Community Deactivation, Community and Content Clarification: What CMs Should Know and Do

Nas.io is a free and friendly platform where community builders and creators can monetise their chat groups, by offering memberships, paid events, and exclusive paid content. We strive to maintain our platform as a safe space to all community managers and members, thus, guidelines are set in place to keep our platform away from any harmful and fraudulent activities.

Nas.io's Risk Assessment Team evaluates new and existing communities to ensure that all free and paid communities in the platform adhere to the terms and conditions. Failure to comply with the terms and conditions may result into community deactivation.

Violation of the following will result into Community Deactivation:

  1. No violation of laws or regulations or violation of intellectual property or personal rights of others.

  2. No violence, threats of violence, or threats of harm.

  3. No harassment or attack of a person or a community based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or disabilities.

  4. No sexualization of minors, nonconsensual sex trafficking, or forced labor.

  5. No viruses, malware, phishing, or spam.

  6. You shall not intentionally submit or transmit inaccurate information through the Services.

  7. You shall not impersonate or pretend to be anyone else while using the Services.

  8. You shall not use the Services in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any of the Services, or interfere with anyone else's use of any of the Services.

  9. You shall not introduce any malicious or technologically harmful material into our Services.

  10. You shall not develop or use any third-party applications that interact with our services without our prior written consent, including any scripts designed to scrape or extract data from our Services.

  11. You shall not use the platform to promote and sell illegal and regulated items such as but not limited to pornographic content, illegal and regulated substances, liquor and tabacco products, firearms, counterfeit products.

  12. You shall not use the platform to promote any discrimination against minorities, false information, hate speech and the like.

NOTE: If the Risk Assessment Team has flagged your community due to any violations above, your community will be deactivated without prior warning.

Communities with NO Description of Community and Products

Community managers are required to put description of what their community and products are all about. With these, members and potential members will have an idea on what are the benefits and services they can get from the community.

NOTE: Failure to put a clear community and product descriptions will may lead into community deactivation, especially if your community and products are paid.

Notifications and Next Steps

Community Deactivation

If your community has been flagged and deactivated by our Risk Assessment Team, you will receive an email notification from us.

Compliance

Community managers are required to respond within the next 48 hours from the time they received the deactivation email. Submitting an appeal should answer the following:

  • How are you currently using Nas.io to monetize?

  • What are you selling and where are you actively promoting?

  • Why should we restore your community?

Any valid ID is also required to be sent to verify the CM's identity. Meanwhile, CMs are also encouraged to provide more context on their community and the products they're selling, or any other information that will help increase the chances of their community getting activated.

NOTE: Appeals submitted by CMs are subject for evaluation and assessment. Reactivation is not guaranteed once appeal has been submitted.

Request for Clarification on your Community

Our Risk Assessment Team also flags communities with no compelling description of their community and products. You will also receive an email notification from us to complete your community and product description.

Compliance

Community managers are required to respond within the next 48 hours from the time they received the request for clarification email. Submitting a response should answer the following:

  • Purpose of the community

  • Detailed description of each product offers

  • Where are you actively promoting?

Please update your community and product description, and send your responses to our email. With this, once our team checked your community, the chances of your community getting deactivated will be low.

Note: If our initial investigation results that a product/membership in your community may be fraudulent, your community can be deactivated without prior notice. You will have to comply with the steps on Community Deactivation.

Special cases of Community Deactivation

If your community is compliant to our guidelines but falls under the following list below, chances of being deactivated also increases.

  • Multiple complaints from members due to:

    • Failure to receive the product/service

    • Product/service not the same as promised or advertised

    • CM is not responding to inquiries

    • CM is rude to members

    • CM removes a member from the community/member's access to the product without a valid reason or prior notification to the member

  • Copyright issue (Though this violation is included in our terms and conditions, we want to reiterate this case to CMs)

    • If we receive a complaint from a user claiming that the product you're selling is his/her original work and you don't have to license to use and redistribute it

    • User was able to provide original copy/license of the product and reports that the community is selling his/her work without permission

After Community Deactivation

CMs are required to submit their appeal to have their communities be reevaluated for reactivation. Failure to submit an appeal within the given time frame will lead into permanent community deactivation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens with CMs earnings if the community is permanently deactivated?

All transactions that have not yet processed for payout will be refunded back to the members. Once the amount has been refunded to the member, it will not be reversed.

I don't want my community earnings to be refunded to the members. What should I do?

If our Risk Assessment Team has concluded that your community should be permanently deactivated and all transactions must be refunded, you can't contest it anymore. The decision is final and cannot be reversed.

We highly suggest that when you receive the deactivation notice, submit a compelling appeal and comply with what's needed.

Does Nas.io deactivate community/ies without prior notice?

Yes. However, all communities that have been deactivated will receive an email notification from Nas.io. You will be given a chance to contest and submit an appeal to reactivate your community.

Does Nas.io keep the earnings of a deactivated community?

No. We never keep any earnings of a deactivated/inactive community. All transactions that are not yet processed for payout will be refunded to the members. We also notify the members that the purchase they made is refunded to their account due to the community's deactivation.

Can I still submit an appeal after the given time frame?

Yes, you can and your community may still be reactivated. However, once the transactions have been refunded to the members due to your late appeal, it cannot be reversed back to your community.

We strictly advise that you submit your appeal within 48 hours.
