Updated this week

In this article

πŸ”₯ Quick Summary

The 1-1 Session feature allows you to sell and schedule personalized coaching, mentoring, or consultation calls directly within your Nas.io business.

  • Integrated: Payments, scheduling, and community in one place.

  • Flexible: Offer free or paid sessions, online or in-person.

  • Control: You set the schedule. Accept same-day bookings or plan up to 30 days out.

πŸ› οΈ How to Create a Session

  1. Log in to Nas.io and go to the Product Tab.

  2. Click Create New and select 1-1 Session.

  3. Fill in the Basics:

    • Title & Description: What are they booking?

    • Duration: How long is the call? (Max 720 mins).

    • Location: Online or In-Person.

    • Pricing: Free or Paid.

  4. Click Continue to save the draft.

⚑ Pro Tip: Syncing with Zapier

Does this sync with Google Calendar or Outlook? Not natively, but you can automate it using Zapier. By connecting Nas.io to Zapier, you can set up a workflow where new bookings on Nas.io are automatically added to your Google Calendar, Outlook, or sent as a Slack notification.

⚠️ Important: The "One-Way" Reality Check The sync is One-Way Only (Nas.io ➑️ External Calendar).

  • What Works: Bookings made on Nas.io will appear on your Google Calendar.

  • What Doesn't Work: If you block a slot in Google Calendar, it does NOT sync back to Nas.io.

  • The Fix: You must always manage your availability and time-off directly inside Nas.io to avoid double-bookings.

πŸ“… Setting Availability & Timezones

Before publishing, you must define when you are free to take calls.

1. Set Your Timezone

Important: The system defaults to your current location. Ensure this is set correctly so international members see the slots converted to their local time automatically.

2. Define Weekly Hours

Go to the Availability section.

  • Toggle ON the days you are working.

  • Add specific time slots (e.g., 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM).

  • Note: Overlapping time slots are not currently supported.

3. The 30-Day Booking Window

To keep schedules manageable, our calendar uses a rolling 30-day window.

  • How it works: Members can only see and book slots up to 30 days in advance from the current date. A new day becomes available on the calendar every 24 hours.

  • Why this matters: If a member complains they cannot book a date two months from now, please let them know this is intentional. This protects you from committing to a time slot 3 months away that you might not be available for.

4. Block Unavailable Dates

Need a specific day off (like a holiday)? Click Unavailable Dates to block specific days from the calendar without messing up your recurring weekly schedule.

πŸ’³ Checkout, Pricing & Tiers

Collecting Info

In the Collect Additional Information section, you can add required questions for the member to answer during checkout (e.g., "What is your main goal for this call?").

Tiers & Discounts

You can offer different price points to accommodate various member types.

  • Setting Tiers: You can configure distinct rates (e.g., "Standard," "Student," or "VIP").

  • Applying Discounts: If a member is eligible for a discounted tier, the system automatically applies the correct price at checkout based on their membership status.

Email Notifications

You can customize the automatic emails sent to members:

  • Booking Confirmation: Sent immediately after payment.

  • Reminder: Sent 1 day before the session.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: If your session is Online, we recommend including your Zoom/Google Meet link in the "Booking Confirmation" email body so members have it immediately.

πŸ”„ Managing Bookings (Reschedule & Cancel)

Unlike other platforms where you have to play secretary, Nas.io empowers members to manage their own slots.

How Members Reschedule

If you have enabled rescheduling for your session settings:

  1. The member opens their confirmation email or logs into their Nas.io account.

  2. They select Reschedule.

  3. They choose a new available time slot from your calendar. Benefit: This updates automatically without you needing to email back and forth.

How Cancellations Work

Both you and the member can cancel a session.

  • Member-Led: Members can click Cancel Booking via their confirmation email or portal.

  • Manager-Led: You can cancel a session from your dashboard (Products β†’ Bookings β†’ Select Session β†’ Cancel).

  • Notification: If a member cancels, you will receive an immediate notification (email/alert) so you can reopen that slot or adjust your day.

  • Refunds: If you initiate the cancellation for a paid session, you will have the option to refund the payment.

πŸ’° Payouts & Earnings

Understanding when you get paid is crucial. Payouts are triggered by the successful completion of a session, not the moment the booking is made.

The Golden Rule

Payouts rely on the Session Date, not the Booking Date.

Scenario: If a Member Books Today

If a client books a session today, the payout date depends entirely on when the session actually happens.

Example: If a member books today for a date three weeks from now, the funds will not appear in your next scheduled payout. They remain pending until the service is delivered. Once the session is complete, standard processing times (e.g., 2–5 business days) apply before funds hit your bank.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. Q: Does this sync with my Google or Outlook Calendar?

A: Not directly. You can use Zapier to add new Nas.io bookings to your external calendar (Google/Outlook), but this is a one-way sync. This means if you block a time on your Google Calendar, it will not block that slot on Nas.io; you must mark it as "Unavailable" inside Nas.io manually.

  2. Q: How do members get the Zoom or Google Meet link?

A: You need to provide this. We recommend pasting your personal meeting link directly into the "Booking Confirmation" email body settings. This ensures members receive the link immediately after they pay and book.

  3. Q: I received a booking today. Why isn't the money in my payout?

A: Payouts are based on the Session Date, not the booking date. The funds remain pending until the service is successfully delivered. Once the session is complete, standard processing times apply before the funds reach your bank.

  4. Q: Can I charge different prices for different members?

A: Yes. You can set up Tiers to offer different rates (e.g., a "Student" or "VIP" price). If a member is part of a specific tier, the system automatically applies the correct discounted price for them at checkout.

  5. Q: Why can't members book a slot two months in advance?

A: The calendar uses a rolling 30-day window. Members can only see and book slots up to 30 days from the current date. This prevents you from getting booked for dates too far in the future that you might not be available for.

  6. Q: How will I know if a member cancels?

A: You will receive an immediate notification (email or alert) if a member cancels a session. This allows you to reopen that time slot for others or adjust your schedule.

  7. Q: Do I have to issue a refund if a session is cancelled?

A: If you (the manager) initiate the cancellation for a paid session, the system gives you the option to refund the payment. It is generally recommended to refund if you are the one cancelling the appointment.

  8. Q: Can members reschedule their own bookings?

A: Yes. If you have enabled rescheduling, members can log into their portal or use their confirmation email to select a new time slot without needing to contact you.
